12" ground socket allows posts to be deep and secure in the ground. Using ground sockets is a great way to install fencing or other items that will sometimes be removed. You can take a fence or pole out of the ground socket, mow right over the area, and then reinsert the fence or pole in the ground socket. The yellow caps are helpful if posts are being removed for a considerable amount of time, the yellow caps can be inserted to avoid dirt and debris accumulating in the ground socket. The optional auger bit makes digging the ground socket holes a breeze, just be sure not to push too hard, and let your drill and the ground socket do the work.
